  5. HAYES ANNOUNCES GLOBAL SYSOP PROGRAM

  10.         ATLANTA, GA, 24 May 1993 -- Hayes Microcomputer Products, Inc. today 
  11. announced the worldwide implementation of its Sysop Program, which offers 
  12. qualified sysops the opportunity to purchase selected Hayes products at 
  13. discounted prices.  This program, effective through 
  14. 30 September 1993, also includes enhanced customer service support and 
  15. marketing activities, including a special rebate offer on Smartcom for Windows.

  17.         The products included in Hayes Global Sysop Program are Hayes 
  18. SmartmodemOPTIMA 14400 FAX144 for US$179 and CDN$229, and Hayes ULTRA 
  19. Smartmodem 14400 for US$249 and CDN$319.  Also included are Hayes ESP 
  20. Communications Accelerator for Windows, Hayes ISDN System Adapter, Hayes ISDN 
  21. PC Adapter and Millennium 8000, a high-density communications platform that 
  22. provides a long term, upgradeable solution for wide area connectivity to both 
  23. host and local area network environments.  (See attached for additional pricing

  31. scripting capability."

  33.         Hayes has also broadened its service and support to better serve the 
  34. sysop community.  Hayes now offers sysops a variety of aggressive product 
  35. opportunities, U.S. same day shipment on orders received by 3 p.m. EST (subject 
  36. to product availability), and free pre-ship service for returned products.  
  37. Hayes continues to support its Sysop's Forum, which contains a variety of 
  38. Special Interest Groups (SIGs) with files and information on many bulletin 
  39. board system software packages.

  41.         Hayes is also implementing new marketing programs for sysops and their 
  42. respective bulletin boards.  For every copy of Smartcom for Windows 
  43. communications software ordered by bulletin board users through their 
  44. registered Hayes sysop for US$49, Hayes will contribute US$5 to the support of 
  45. the sysop's bulletin board.  Also, the sysop's bulletin board will receive a 
  46. free copy of Smartcom for Windows with their first order for an OPTIMA 144 + 
  47. FAX144 or ULTRA 144.
